Uses your body as an auxillary antenae?

well, someone said "put it under ur chin" and i followed it.
i know it sounds pretty dumb.....and it definitely looks dumb when u put a key right under ur chin, (since the tip of the metal key blade will be touching your chin)
if i take the key away from my chin at the exact spot, my car wont respond.
WHY? Dont ask me......
i only know it works that way.
give it a try......what will it cost u?
brain damage?
if you are afraid of any damage to ur brain......just walk closer.

correct, you are using yourself as an antenna

if you have fillings in your teeth, put it on the side with more fillings, it will help even more. i am serious

You can just put the head of the key touching your chin and it will do the same thing. (I pictured you putting the metal part to your skin by your description).
I think every car I've owned has done this. I had a Silverado that I could hit about 300 feet away when i did that.

Agreed! After parking sometimes I wallk off while pressing the button to lock the car waiting to hear the beep sounds, then when I don't hear anything I have to return to the vehicle to make sure that it locked.

Default Try the Other battery...

I found out, and I don't know exactly why, that after replacing an old car battery with a new one the range of the keyfob for unlock or remote start increases dramatically. Happened both with my wifes Explorer and my GS300. In fact, my wifes Explorer remote start would only work when you were about 20 yards away (for years), since new car battery it worked when I was inside a brick building and there was another brick building between me and the car and the car was about 1/2 block away - Sweet!
