Has anyone seen or have any pictures of a black GS with pewter-grew face and polished lip wheels? Do you think it would look good? Your input is appreciated.

Hey man, how's it goin' over there in 'bama?

I was looking through some posts for the guy who has a picture of a black GS with rims like that in his signature, but I can't find it now! Hmmm... will keep lookin'.

It looks great by the way. Aggressive.

Update: I think he changed his signature - but look for BrentGS4 picture in the GS gallery - a bit of a dark pic, but you should be able to get the idea.

David,

We don't see enough of your car!! Once again, AWESOME.

I have gun metal gray wheels but without a polished lip. Originally, I was planning to get the PIAA Rozzas with that exact finish but settled for these Compianat0 SS7's instead. Here's the link of the larger pic of my sig...It's in the gallery also...

And here's a side view shot in this thread...

Hope this helps

MrHorse,

That car above belongs or belonged (not sure if he sold it) to SpeedStu.. He posted that pic awhile back when I was looking to buy those same rims for my SC430.. BTW those are Lowenhart LD1's non-chrome with polished lip.. I forget what body kit is on it but it does look really nice doesn't it.. Hope that helps!

I'm looking for something along these lines. More specifically, black chrome wheels. I know it falls under different labels (Platinum Black Wed's, David??) but I can't seem to find any pictures of it. I tried the search but came up with zip, just a thread about black chrome badging. I know I've seen pictures somewhere here. Can any of you please point me in the direction of any links, sites, posted pic's, anything??

Thanks in advance. Josh

Default Yes, yes..

2savvy - those rims are unbelievable. They match the car perfectly. And - no need for chrome. The polished lip looks phat too. Hats off to SpeedStu.

The kit is a Blitz kit with a Veilside spoiler...the body kit (not the spoiler) looks REALLY good in black (don't like the kit in light colors)...hmmmm...you know, at this rate, I'm never going to get a damn body kit!

Mr Horse - I agree...no need for chrome!

Thanks Manaray: Getting your approval, now I know I got a good quality wheel. In an earlier post, did I see you were running the AP Racing brakes? Are those the 6 or 4 piston ones? I'm thinking about a brake upgrade; what are your impressions of the AP brakes?

Thanks again for the props!

David GS400 - Hey, with the Weds Kranze line, not only is it dope *** OG JDM, but it's top notch quality too. Isn't it nice to know that you rims WORTH buying? Plus you have uncommon finish! (which looks REALLY nice in the photos...love to check 'em out in real life)

I am running the AP racing 6-piston system from Stillen (13.56" cross drilled and slotted rotors...vented of course!). I LOVE them. It takes a couple of minutes (or miles) for them to "warm up" to peak performance (even cold they outperform stock) and then it's stop on a dime and give some change back.

The only thing you have to do is "re-learn" how to brake...these things are so "grippy" that if you apply the "normal" amount of brake presure, you're not going to just slow down, you're going to come to a stop. Oh, and you're going to get a LOT more brake dust!

Hey, if you're in Southern Cali, you're more than welcome to try out the brakes...though it won't feel EXACTLY the same as if you had it on your car (due to the difference in size/weight of our wheels) but you'll get the general idea (95%)...maybe we can do some not-too scientific brake tests together since we have SIMILIAR wheel setups (19" with 555's on yours and 20" with 555's on mine)...we can do 60-0 and 100-0 stops...I know a few empty streets we can do that on...
