OK, spill the beans!! (what are your 4Q mod plans?) Beans Session III
OK we STILL have way too many people around doing super secret mods... sneaking around dropping little hints about this and that that take months to be seen. I can't say I'm not guilt-free in sneaking around doing mods myself sometimes .
However, I'm continuing a tradition I started last year that sheds a little more light on what I'm planning to do to my GS over the winter. I welcome advice from others on my mods and plan to document the process of putting them in.
Here's the last two threads (I've locked them while this thread is active so they aren't bumped .
#1 Original Beans Spillage
#2 Son of Beans courtesy Hameed.
I'll start this thread with me... this fall and winter I plan to work on the interior of the car mainly.
1) Install new leather interior I bought during the Leatherseats GB. I got Sandstone inserts that match the darker brown part of the doors, similar to what Lexforlife (Ed) got, but without the semi-circles. Although I know many have done this install themselves, I'm definitely paying a local recommended professional to do it for me.
2) Do something 'different' with the steering wheel... I'm not quite sure what yet. Not a fan of wood, but something to make it a little different than it is now. The 98 wheel is very bland, and I've got some worn leather.
3) Sirius Radio. Not sure how I'm going to wire it up yet as I don't think my Eclipse is Sirius-ready, could just use my RCA inputs and get a portable unit. Want to figure this out before Howard Stern comes on the air at end-of-year.
4) Getting a custom grounding kit made sometime in the fall / winter and dialing in the car audio. Needs some work.... some songs sound great, others like crap.
I'd also like to hear about what you are planning to do to your GS over the fall and winter beyond sticking on the winter tire and wheel package. Fess up!

I'll be finishing up with these mods for the year.
1. Suspension mods (rear stb, sways, maybe coils)
2. Minor exterior mods (wind visor, tail lights, cf pillars)
This will pretty much be it for the year. I've spent way too much on my car for 2005. Year 2006 I plan on finishing up suspension mods, and will go all out in performance or a system.

This is on my list also. I dont like the round shadow that limits the field of view.
I have some parts out now that are getting some custom stuff done, including my UGO roof spoiler
Hopefully decide on a bodykit and get that rolling.
I have also been contemplating the new leather interior route. I would like a simple two tone, no suede. But this may be pushed back until 06 depending on my time.
