Bought used 20's but the front sticks out a bit... help pls

I bought used lowenhart lr5's and when we test fitted it, the wheels and tires stuck out mayb 3/4 inch out of the fender. The guy sellin em said that i could get the offset changed by shaving it or something. input anyone? Im new to this and duno anything bout offset. they fit the car but it just sticking out and not lined up with the fender

dude its a bunch of b.s.
you shouldn't have to shave anything and sacrifice the integrity of the rim inorder for them to fit...i say return them if you can and get a set that properly fits.

I dont believe there is anything that can be done safely. You are better off losing the great deal than dealing with the headaches that will be sure to accompany any attempt to try to make these wheels fit

Doesn't the front usually stick out more when you buy 20's?
I have 20x8's on 245/35/ZR20 and the front sticks out more. Every shop I've been to has told me that. Couldn't you just use a (small) spacer to even it out more? I figure unless you go staggered, the front would stick out more. In fact, non staggered 20's I've seen on the road are more like that than not. Particularly on cars.

his problem now is that the front sticks out PAST the fender. that is a big big problem
