Installing ML nav in 98-00 with nav?
I was possibly thinking of removing the 00 nav and getting a ML system with nav from a donor car. Now if I do this, will the plugs match up? I dont want to remove the entire wiring harness from the radio to the trunk. Im thinking of getting a new ML nav screen, running on current wires and getting a new ML nav unit in the trunk. Anyone have any experience with this? is it worth the hassle just to have a bigger screen with better resolution and a better interface. I have a Eclipse from my old car sitting in my room that i cant install fearing im going to lose climate controls and whatever else my radio is connected to.

the whole harness is different. for example with your car, the amp is in the front, on the pessenger kick panel. with the ml system, the amp is in the trunk. and pretty much the whole harness system is different and you will need to get the whole thing in order to fit right
even with you getting all the stuff from junk yard (for relatively cheaper price), the labor to install it all would be too expensive

Oh i can install it, ive done things of greater magnitude before but I just want to know, at the end is it worth it? Will I be happy with the outcome?
Is it possible, if so is it easier to just get a regular climate control, plug it in and install my eclipse AVN??
