ok, so i have a 00 GS3 loaded with about 27k miles on it. and i'm almost sick of being beaten by every moded civic and integra out there

since i'm trying to start my own business soon, i don't want to spend the money for a brand new gs430.

but i found a used certified 98 GS4 at a lexus dealer with 30k miles on it. it has the nav sys and HIDs, and i have a friend who wants to buy my GS3. my monthly payment will stay the same. should i do it? what do you guys think?

sounds reasonable, go for it.

whenever you have a buyer ready to buy your car, without you taking too much loss, and you have something in mind that you like at a deal that fit within your means, this would be the time to move.

this is just my HO.

Exclamation Answered It Yourself!

zz- I think ya just answered your own question!! If U R tired of losing races to modded rice-mobiles like the ones ya mentioned, then a V-8 U must have!! With the payments staying on the same plane, it's a no-brainer to me. I did the same thing except I made my decision during the test drive. First the GS3 - nice but for me, too slow. My salesman tossed me the keys to a 400 & said that " I looked like a horsepower guy to him ". He probably made the sale right there but once the right foot hit the gas, it was all over except the paperwork!! Do the deed!!

NO, I won't do it...first of all, you have the first ownership of the car so you have all the maintenance record and so forth...secondly, you know your car well and speed isn't that big of a deal when you drive a luxury family car like the GS (and I hope you don't race ricers since that would just lower your car's status, IMO). The only reason I would do it if I was you is if there's something wrong with your car (engine, rattling, accident, etc.) or you really want to go fast, in which i won't buy a GS400 and would go with a corvette or supra just as an example...

Default No Question!

Dude let me tell you, my GS4 is sweet as hell and I get compiments so often that it's downright ridiculous! As far as power and performance, let's just say the "rice-burners" better be packing some serious soy sauce underneath or else it's, "Hasta La Vista Baby!"

Default Oh yea.

The G4 is intoxicating and there's untapped power to play with in the engine. You won't regret it. You will laugh often for no reason other than nailing the accelerator and riding very comfortably.

Do you want to go faster?

davezaristo,

luxury? yes
family car? I don't think so.

A family can fit in the car, but that quality alone makes it a family car not.

Its a performance sedan, and part of performance, is speed.

As far as recommending a Corvette? Not even in the same segment dude.

Maybe he wants to go fast and have luxury.

GS4 wins.

zz231, pull the trigger, I just did 2 weeks ago, and I still have perma grin.

Don't get me wrong, the 01 GS3 is sweet,a great friend of mine has one, the acceleration though of the 4 is mad addictive, so prepare yourself.

sorry DIESELMAN63, it's not the spectra blue. it's black on black. i wish it was the blue though, i love that color but it's so hard to find. and whenever you do find one, most of the times it would have the light beige interior, which is fine but i like the blue on black combo better.

well, i think i'm gonna go for it guys. my friend said he needs about a week or two to come up with the money to buy my car. so hopefully i'll be driving a gs4 in a couple of weeks. (driving fast that is)

oh man, i'm already excited and i don't even have the car yet watch out ricer boys, i'm coming to get ya....
