HI. I sometimes get this problem also. It will telescope in and out, but won't tilt down. For me it seems to happen intermitently. I am thinking its weather related. I am not sure of the cause, but I am going to ask my dealer. I will let you know.

I would think it's in the switch itself not the fuse. Do you have memory seats? Does it go down using the memory function?

I have memory seats. If the tilt doesn't work, then when I select the memory seat, it still doesn't tilt to the position it was saved. It is weird and anonying.

Sorry man it's now beyond my abilities. I was thinking if the memory still worked the steering wheel we could probably identify the switch on the column as the culprit. Now with nothing moving the steering up and down it sounds like a wire or electric motor problem. I don't know if there are 2 separate motors to adjust the steering wheel, if so your first piece of advice about a fuse might be valid. Good Luck, hopefully someone more experienced here can help.

Default Me too...

It's happening to me too. I have a 98 GS400. It's so annoying. It works sometimes and at other times doesn't.
