Just wondering if people liked the old style tail lights or the 2001 version. At first, I did not care for the new design. But after looking at the 2001 GS catalog, I really liked the way the new tail lights looked on a Black GS. Also, do the new lights appear any different at night than the old version?

 

I prefer the 98-00 lights. The lights are quite different (placement of reverse, turn signal, etc.) with the main difference that the new lights have a larger brake/rear light and the older lights have the reverse/turn signal in the middle.

 

Without question, the 01' lenses rock! Definitely freshened up the GS!

 

I had the 99 Tail lights , Just made the change to the 01 they look much neater and cleaner

 

Frankly, I'm not crazy about either. I love my car but, ehhh, they're both mediocre.

 

I like 98~00 lights. It's very distinguishable at night, where it's a 2 layer light outside and a small round light inside. the 2001 ones looks okay but I would rather have 00 ones that stand out better.:eek:

 

I like the pre 01' tailights. Its one of a kind where you can definately distinguish your car from any other car.

 

who is it that i contact for the 2001 lights??? would it be the same price to buy from my local lexus dealership?

I would contact Steve at Carson, I got both my tail lights, (Right, and Left) for $339 threw the door it was much better than what the dealer charged me for it I must say.
