Don't accuse someone of lying until you can prove so.

Whoops
I was just assuming thats what you thought but assuming is wrong(learned my lesson once again ) Well anyways that is what they quoted even one of the tech guys got in the car to show him how everything was gonna go(remove his old factory stereo etc.) But i personaly thought $5000 was a lot, i was telling him just to go with an alipine tv/radio setup to fill up the huge space the factory stereo takes up.

considering all the labor needed, such as replacing everything, getting a new NAV antenna, wiring, etc. and also the expensive parts like the display and the harddrive, 5000 is just too good to be true. Ask them again to make sure that includes everything. If that's the final pricing, be sure to tell everyone on this board about it! i'm sure alot of people would like to add it.

Not that bad
It is not that involved of a project. The wiring is already there. You just need to get the hard drive, GPS, antenna, and the of course the expensive screen unit. The screen unit being the most expensive. Almost a plugand play type install. Lexus does not produce different chassis numbers for Nav or no nav. All the same to cut cost.

When you can find a headunit in good shape on car-part.com [which is generally the most expensive source from salvage yards] for 200$ no disk drive, it says a lot...
A screen on ebay is 400$, and disk drive for another 200$
