I've got a 99 GS3, and I've noticed (on many occasions) a tiny clicking noise coming from the back of my car.....coming from around either three of the back windows. The clicking sound is similar to the sound a small stone would make hitting off your window. No, I'm not crazy, I know that this isn't just from a ton of stones continuously hitting my car. What is it? It does occur often while I drive. I'm pretty sure that it happens when I take my over bumps....but it might occur otherwise, not too sure. Does anyone have a similar problem? Or, does anyone know what it is? I'm exaggerating a bit, its not too annoying, but it is noticeable. Well, thanks.

well if it sounds like its coming from your window is it possible its something inside the door thats loose or has fallen off? have you checked yoru ash trays there might be some crud in there... i dunno best of luck!

The way you explain the problem... That clicking sound could be coming from your sunroof.
You can search the forum which explains this problem with the 98+ GS's.

hey kooly, I have the same problems as you but I have a 2000 GS4. Part of that clicking noise is coming from the sunroof but I do hear it in the back maybe in the trunk area. I know that its between the rear seat/trunk area but cannot find the problem myself. I am going to take it back to the dealers to have them fix this.

I hear this sound like plastic cracking from time to time. Is this the sunroof problem? I thought it sounds like it is coming from the vents. Any solutions? Thanks.

Hey Brent,

The problem that you are having will need a new part. Take it back to the dealer and they will fix it for you.
Not too sure what year your baby is but this was a problem for some GS.
