Default my first -- i gave my keys to valet....

so today we went to ritz carlton in half moon bay. those who are in norcal know how spectacular that hotel resort is. being on the coast the view is just amazing. and go watch american wedding the movie, you know what i am talking about

anyway, we pulled up and was like oh crap only valet.... me and my wife were both wondering should we do it or just leave.... i already noticed that all area around were pretty flat, no driveways, and it's pretty easy garage parking.

before we could decide, the valet already walked up to me eagerly and greeted me, so i was like oh well why not and left the car with him. walked out of the car and couple of valets came to checked out the car. i tapped one guy's shoulder and said "just be careful with it ok? the car is quite low". no problem, and they left.

everyone at the hotel front door was staring at my car as it pulled away. as we left, another valet passed by and said "man that's one sweet car" good feeling

1 hour later we came out and picked up the car. the car pulled up slowly (l love traffic...) and as i walked up, the valet came out and said "omg, sir, you got a very nice ride here, this car is amazing!"

i walked around the car to make sure they didn't curb any of the wheel or put on any scratches, not even scrapping my body kits. surprised! i tipped him and said thanks and rolled away, again with people staring at my car

i guess it's a pretty good feeling, and there you go my first valet experience

(for the record, not really looking for the next one)

Wow! I can't believe you went through w/ it. At least you got it back in one piece. I know i would've definately gone somewhere else.

Some of my friends were valet guys back in the day & after hearing all of their stories, i won't go anywhere NEAR them.

You got Lucky because When I used the Valet at the Silver LEgacy hotel and Casino In Reno Nevada, My car came back in two pieces. My front bumper entirely fell off because they stated my car was too low. They said they couldn't do anything. Now i never valet, I always take my girls SUV RX330 if we plan to valet anywhere, not a lowered vehicle!!!!!

Valet is a great thing in most cases. I valet everywhere, never had a problem not saying bad things dont happen but I think they are much more careful with a high end vehicle. I used to love going to the casino here with my car so everyone could be awwed.lol

I went to a club in Boston sat night and it was next to the 4 seasons hotel. Man there were bentley's rolls royces everywhere under the valet tent.

"rominl", with all the "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing" from the hoi polloi regarding your ride, did you remember to tip the valet?

Henry, you are a big risk taker my friend... I did valet once and before my g/f and I could even walk inside the hotel, the valet guy punches the throttle, chirps my tires and takes off. Once we checked into our room, I called the valet service and filed a complaint with the supervisor. I was soooo pissed man. The worst part about was that the supervisor kept asking me if I got the name of the guy driving my car. lol

Anyway, congrats on having a good time at the resort. A bigger congrats on getting your car back in one piece. No curb rashes or scuff marks on the bumper.

I was almost afraid to read the whole thing, expecting to read that the curbed those beautiful new wheels, or cracked those expensive JP tails.... Henry, glad to hear your car walked away from the valet experience unmarked, and that your car got the props it deserves

They didn't put any miles on it. They used the "put the car on jack stands and drive it in reverse" trick.

Wow....a major milestone taken....VALET!!!

Yah.....some valet guyz are Aholes!!! I remember picking up my wife from work one day (she works for a hotel) and a guest with a Porsche boxter gives his keys to the valet.....once the driver left.....the valet driver rips it up across the street.....dust cloud galore.

I mentioned it to my wife...who asked me to point out who he was...she knew of him....she then spoke with the manager ( a friend of hers) the next day...I think he got only a warning.

My best friend is a valet manager over there at the Moana....the stories he has about some of their valet's are scary...but for the most part, he says they treat the cars really good with the exception of rude guest that pull up arrogant and snobby....I guess those guests get the "extra special" attention if you know what i mean...
