I was wondering what kind of service that each of you has experienced with different tuners or "high performance specialists"

rate it from 1-10
Swift Racing 10: Mo is very courteous and has been very prompt returning calls or answering questions. His products are very well developed.

TRD (Carson Toyota) Steve 9.5: Would have given him a 10 but sometimes he is so busy, because he has such a good product line, that he is the second hardest man to get in touch with.

Apex Engineering 8: Good product support, but sometimes cannot give a straight answer when a certain product (ie Coilover system for GS) will be available

GT Autosport 7: When Dave is on the ball, he is great, however, he has been a little scarce. When he returns calls, he spends extra time to answer all my questions. All of my first GS components came through him.

RMM 3: I only had one good experience with them. I tried to keep abreast of the SC kit, but they hem and hah about the whole deal. They say it will be out soon. That was about 18 months ago. The last straw was just 3 days ago. I ordered cross drilled rotors, they said they shipped them out 1 week ago. I called back and asked about it, they said that the rotors were back ordered. How the hell can they say they were shipped if they didn't even have them. LIARS. As for their supercharger kit, I suspect that they don't have one and will never get one despite the e-mail I recieved last week saying that the kit is in it's final stages..................... yeah right

BTW I was so upset with them that I sold my RMM strut bar for cheap, I figured I rather have a good company and service in order for me to promote their stuff on my car whenever I open the hood for other enthusiasts. I guess I am in the hunt for another STB. (TRD? C-ONE? we'll see what comes)

Service was okay. Attitudes are nice but seems to not know alot about anything..... few guys are awake, many are not. didn't know how to install an air/fuel ratio meter.

Hiro: 9.5

Very informative guy. Can get ANYTHING. Prices are great. my product came with defect so yah, but that wasn't his fault. -.5 for living so close to the ocean and so far from my house

Sprewell Racing: 2

Sales reps are nice. Prices are normal. Installation is rock-bottom ghetto quality. I wouldn't let them touch my car ever. Some sales rep even calls himself the designer of the REVOLUTION kit (knock off of Win.Racing). Dumb@SS.

SRT, Never bought anything but planning to very shortly so I can not rate him.

RMM: 7 Speak to a person called Blair he is the most helpful their I have orderd many parts from RMM and he is the only person that knows what he is talking about, the quality of pruducts from RMM are ok not the best on the market but good.

Other Tuners or installation stuff ,,, I rate myself a 3 ok my major is mechanical engineering. and I am still trying to get my BA.

ohh Steve at Carson Toyota is a 10, unless he is out of stock ,,, I must say they saved me BIG $$ and a very honest sales man, still waiting on my TRD sway bars and Lower Chasis Brace.

optional performance - 7

nice people, but seemed to do a too quick job on my exhaust, when i read the article in MAX power they skipped a few steps, but it was still a good install

precision industries - 5

really nice people, fast delivery, but they sent me a part that doesn't fit

swift racing - 8

mo told me the TC wouldn't fit, i was just too stubborn to listen to him

some audio shop - 4

guy was pretty nice, but did a dirty install on my subs, wanted me to leave without him even tuning them, took him much longer than he quoted, lied about bandpass being clearer that sealed so i would pay more for the bandpass box

Price is good but not great. They respond email slowly sometimes.

Rod Millen: 7
I only took my car to RMM for TC installation once. Great service, great price. However, when I waited for the installation, they had no place for me to sit.

SummitRacing: 6
When my friend ordered the borla exhausts, the sale rep didn't know BEEP about this product. No online ordering. Average shipping period.

ShinKai Racing: 8
The best price for my TEIN HA. If Dale could pricematch it, he will do it. If not, he just told me to get the parts somewhere else. Great email respond.

TM Engineering: 8
Great service with great price. However, it's extremely hard to get a hold on Todd.

Friends (dunno his shop's name): 10
15bucks for my PIAA Super Plasam blubs and he delievered the blubs himself. Then I paid him the blubs with a movie ticket for Jurassic Park III, a median drink, and a large popcorn!

Steve @ Carson: 8
His price for TRD parts is unbelieveable. However, there is no cash advantage. For people who live in CA, we have to pay sales tax.
