I talked to one of the reps at summit today to get more information on the exhaust. The rep read the following from their 2001 application guide:
bor-11733: "single, angle cut, OVAL. Split rear tips. GS400 V6/V8"
I tried to get him to fax me a copy of that page but he said it wasnt possible for whatever reason.
They did not have anything saying it did or didnt fit the GS430. He suggests that those of you with 430's who want to participate in the purchase may want to verify with Borla directly at 877-GoBorla. But from GS4will’s info it sounds like it shouldn’t be a problem.

It looks like we've got about 5 definete orders so far including myself, I think we can easily make the $397.49 price. The people I consider definete so far are myself, cong28, tancuan82, HDDeuce, MrHorse, and dasenzasian.
We'll conclude this offer on Monday, August 6 so if you want to participate you must do so by this weekend.
Everyone participating MUST PM me with your first and last name, address, and phone number and the type of payment you plan on using. DO NOT send me your credit card numbers, just tell me how you will be paying. I'll send your contact information and payment type to summit and then you can phone/fax/mail your billing information directly to them.
A few other notes, at this point only those people who PM me saying they will 'definetely' participate will be counted in, 'maybes' dont count. If you're participating please communicate through PM's, it's too complicated to keep track of everyones email address.
btw, I hope more people participate, this has been way too much work for me just to save 10 bucks...

Brian S, HDDuece, MrHorse: what do you guys say we extend this until the end of the week, say until friday 8/10?
summit has four units (as of last week) ready to ship and can get as many additional ones as we need in a week to 10 days. since brian s, hdd, and mrh were first to sign up i figure they should get the first ones. me, i'm in no hurry, i can wait another week or so.
also, dasenzasian, 1sicklex, dexter(??): remember to pm me with your information if you're going to get in on it.

1sicklex, ur dealer is trying to rip u off. it will take less than an hour. u can do it urself if u have a jack and a torque wrench.
also, my borla is a lot more square/oval than that one. the one in the pic looks round!

Brian S please PM me your daytime ph. number there appears to be a typo in it (got four numbers in the area code).
Dasenzasian I think you'll be okay on your deadline but you may want to confirm the shipping dates with Summit directly, I'll give the phone number to you, stand by.

As for calling it quits - it really depends on whether the other guys are willing to wait or need the exhaust right away. I can wait more.. I'm in no rush.
