Default VSC beeping at me- car handles terribly, what to do?

Yeah, so I took a turn in the rain too hard, and from what I've read on here, the beeping sound was from the VSC, not the traction control.

I've had this happen twice, and each time the VSC beeps, the car feels like it's a pinball, and the steering wheel jerks back and forth. It all happened really fast, but it feels like the car's nose kept wanting to point in any direction EXCEPT my lane of travel. I hit the brakes lightly and was able to barely stay in my lane.

For low traction conditions, what should I have done to keep better control of the car? I'm new to V8 RWD, and coming from a 320hp AWD turbo car, I'm relearning this traction thing all over again. Obviously I don't want to take the turn as hard, but if I get the beeping sound, what should I do?

Thanks!

Let me guess a VR4/RTtt was your last car, Gawd, I miss me Stealth TT
You'll get used to the rear kicking out in the GS4 and then it starts to beep and its all inl control, fun actually, sometimes I do it on purpose
You'll get to love the GS bro.

I was going to say your previous car was an Audi A6 4.2?

whenever I get sideways in the rain the the beeping goes off. also, when that's beeping, the traction control is cutting the throttle and applying the rear brakes on the spinning wheel.

no biggie. turn off the vsc if it bugs you and you're man enough not to need it

Slow down or get some suspension mods or an LSD. I've always driven pretty gently in rain with the GS.

The VSC does what it can to keep the car going in its intended direction but there's limits to what it can do.

Yeah, it was a '95 3000GT VR-4. I could go 0 to 60 in 5 seconds in the RAIN with that thing...

Anyway, good to know the VSC is just doing its thing. I thought I felt some braking action, so now I know it's the VSC system working properly.

So an LSD helps with traction? Are there any downsides besides cost?

Thanks!

Yeah, I got a 2-way LSD so it judders the back end at low speeds/ 90 degree turns. But once it's above 10MPH it's great and grabs the tarmac very very well.

I learned my lesson. that VSC saved my A$$ in a major way! I'd never turn it off! LOL

the volume is low, but if you listen closely, you will hear it.

the beep doesn't come on every time the VSC kicks in, only when you are pretty sideways.
it's like the car telling you it thinks you're gonna crash and slow down
