Question New To Forum, and Lexus Family

Hey Everyone, i always loved Lexus and am finally about to set out to buy a GS... Don't know which one though, but plan to do a good amount of mods to it. Can anyone help me out cause the one concern i had was winter driving. I heard these cars are horrible in the winter, and i love manual transmissions and GS does not offer. Has anyone done a manual conversion and how is everyone's GS in the winter time?

This might be a stupid question, but i am a newbie to the Lexus Community, but are all the GS400 equipted with a manual paddle shift? Are there certain years, or specs i should look for? If i drop a supra engine, don't you have to take the trans as well and then convert to manual, or does the GS trans fit the supra engine?

If your planning to swap the engine then you could get a gs300 and save yourself some money. Since the stock engine is going to be irrelevant.

Can someone tell me which GS400 have the manual paddle shifting, and has anyone done a manual transmission with shifter for the GS models?

all gs400 has e-shift options on the steering wheel. it's button, NOT paddle shifting. gs never had paddle shift. 98-00 gs400 has eshift. 01+ gs430 doesn't have eshift anymore

if you get a supra tt engine (i assume you mean tt engine, otherwise you might just as well get a gs300), i think you need (or should) get the tranny as well. i don't think the tranny will bolt right on
