Default Well I got it!

Thanks for the advice on my "do dealers deal" thread.
I wasn't able to talk them down too much, but I got a decent deal. 2002 GS300 CPO for 3 years or 100k. 37k on the odo, It's a black on black SportDesign. Very nice condition. The dealer is going to replace the drivers headlight, since the current one has moisture in it. I'll be signing the loan papers tomorrow and then picking up the car on Saturday. Paid $28k and got a set of Blizaks and they paid off the three payments on my lease that I had left. Good enough for me.

Thanks for the help... I'm off to read back about a sillion threads and get caught up on this great car!

Interesting that I bought a similar car this weekend - 2002 GS300 SD CPO with ML/Nav. Got them down from $31440 to $29200. Has 44k miles, GGP with grey interior, new tires and spoiler.

Picking up the car tomorrow.

Just be sure the headlights match. You may need to have the dealer replace the passenger side as well.

BTW congrats.

Thanks! I'll post spme pics after I pick the car up this weekend. They are replacing said headlight.

sooo... whaddya mean "make sure they match"? The ones on it right now are the green tint ones. So are those the right ones for a 2002 SportEdition without HID? Think they'll mix up the green and not green? When did the dark tinted ones come out for the sportdesign, and is it documented anywhere on the Lexus site so I can prove it to my sales guy?

The sales guy was a little unnerving. He kept saying that the headlight would dry out, and that his is the same. I kept telling him that the headlight problem is pretty well documented and needs to be replaced. I got it in writting, so I'm not all that concerned. He's having it replaced and mounting the snow tires for me.

Yeah mods are a must. I was already talking to my tint guy tonight. I think I'll be going 35 all the way 'round. I'd also like to get a set of rims by spring time. I'm looking for the staggered look, probably 18 or 19's. This one's a daily driver, and the roads here aren't the greatest.

Pics to come!!!

Default Buying CPO '02 GS300 SportDesign Graphite Grey Pearl

Congrats! I've been shopping for the same car for 3 months!

Yesterday, I just agreed to buy a CPO 2002 GS300 SportDesign Graphite Grey Pearl w/45k w/ML/Nav at $25,995.

My local Lexus is completing Certification over the next week, so I've only been able to drive it before certification thus far. I have until next week when everything's complete to back out.

I've scoured the web and thought this was a good deal. If anyone has any opinions, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks!
