Aristov300 - There's a difference between what the manufacture CHARGES vs. what it actually costs. Having help make a few body kits myself and knowing...oh...about 5 body shops and a few manufacturers, I have a *little* insider info on making kits. Fiberglass is NOT expensive.

While the GS is bigger, the cost to make a kit for the GS is nearly nul. You have to remember, not every body kit has the same profit margin. On the Civic market, manufacturers know they're dirt poor for the most part (otherwise, they be fixing up better cars, no?) so they can't make a huge margin...when it comes to Lexus cars, they know the owner has to have SOME money...so they charge accordingly...

Before I found a body kit that I really liked, I was considering making my own...I spoke with this one guy who punched out a few copies of a front bumper my friend designed (it was a M5-ish front end for an Integra) and asked him how much it would cost to punch out a few front bumpers (if I provided the master) for my GS...guess what? It was just a few bucks more than the Integra...now if I were to SELL the kit, then I could charge more than what my friend could charge for his Integra front bumper (even if it was the same design)
