i recently sold my 500hp eclipse, and all it did was give me problems. i don't wanna deal with another boosted car for as long as i live. Oh, and the reason why i went with the gs4 was because my insurance actually quoted me a cheaper price for that compared to the gs3. here's some pics:

1998 gs4
tan interior w/ wood trim
100k miles
purchased for $13.8k
the problems with the car when i bought it was that the brakes needed to be bled (air in the brake system), had an exhaust leak (tighten up the carback), the back right door speaker is making a crakling noise (but it isn't blown), and one of the power window up/down switches is cracked (just need to replace the plastic switch).
it didn't come with hid's or navi, but i guess i can always put those in later. I was on a pretty tight budget being a college kid an all, but i managed to save up enough money to buy it in cash. To get the car back to perfect, i set aside about $500. I think i gotta decent deal, but i guess you guys would know better.
btw, i can take the "orange" out of the corner lenses? does it require me to bake them?

My underdstanding is that the V-8 and the inline six are about fifty pounds different - not very much when you think about it.
Maybe somebody knows for sure what the numbers are, but they are very close in any event.
The V-8 is king anyways.

In regards to the taillamps, no don't bake them but rather use a dremmel tool to cut them apart, but be very carefull u don't slip up. There is a thread on this topic but I don't have it handy. I did this mod and to me it was fairly simple (been around cars for the past 20 years) being a mechanic and a autobody shop, guy anyway look up the thread . If by any chance u can't find, or do it , I could help u out. Where in florida are u at? I'm in the tampa area.
