Got my Bosch Park-pilot installed today.

No, that is not my real license plate.

I have to do something about the gold color of the sensors. I got the outer part painted in the car's color but now I see that I have to paint the rest too.

Besides a beep intervall I've got six LEDs in the car to show me the distance to the nearest object.

Here's a link to Bosch's page:

Question Info?

Where did you order it? How much was it? You can email me at maxedout1@hotmail.com if you don't want to post it.

Thanks in advance,
Freddie

OT,

a few points here:

1.it would look very good if you can take care the yellow/gold paint.

2.how did that plate and the #s got there if that is not yours? just wondering?

something useful nonetheless.

thanks for sharing

Alright where did I put that Corp Card. Something else on my list. How much? Where? Does it work????
Looks good except that color-wonder if the Cadi sensors can be used in place of those
But to have a GM part on my Lexus. I might get stoned at the next meet

I actually got them through my dealer. I think they cost about $400 including installation. They sell them as an alternative to the factory sensors - which I by the way have heard are not very good.

As usual I want to remind everyone that I live in Sweden so don't expect your local dealer in the US to carry the Bosch's.

Somewhere along the line I got the impression that painting the senors could hurt their performance. This I now know is not true. I even tested putting a think piece of tape over them and they still work unaffected.

I altered the plate in the picture with Photoshop. The B, 1 and 5 comes from my real plate.

chowder,

I was just waiting for that question.

That's how the GS is sold over here, nothing I added myself. I don't know why. I mean, integrated antennas work just as well in this part of the world.

And we don't get the coin holder in the GS. Can you believe it?

Overtaxed,

We don't get the coin holder in Canada either.. Go figure!

BTW once the gold is painted over the rear bumper should look really nice.. I wish I had those because the wife took my car out of the garage and banged the bumper into the license plate of another car in my driveway.. No too pleased at the moment but what are you gonna do.. Take a gander at what good work she did..

Oh well this at least gives me one freebie with the Mrs. when I do something stupid.. LOL.. Anyone know what it usually costs to repair and repaint a rear bumper cover on the GS.. For guys with the Spectra Blue is it easy to colour match?? Sasha how did Kingsway do with matching your colour with the repairs they did??

I'll have to call my dealership on Monday.. Sasha between my sister and my wife they both can't drive.. LOL.. I was telling Sasha how my sis smashed her front of her Maxima into a pole at a shopping plaza about a week or so ago..

Maybe I should spring for some driving lessons for these two women..

WD you were lucky at least you could buff out the damage.. The screws from the plate she hit on the Blazer dug right into the bumper cover..
