But if you are used to having subs and like the sound louder than the average factory system, then you will be more than likely replacing the ML system w/ your aftermarket one. If you are going to replace the system anyways, i would recommend NOT getting the navi as an option as you will just be replacing it anyways. Hope this helps.
Yeah, the factory Bose system on the TL sucked. No highs, no lows, must be Bose. I really dont feel like spend the money for the equipment and installation again for stereo like i did on my TL. That's why i was wondering if the Mark Levinson system would satisfiy me enough as regards to Bass, Highs, clarity and loudness.

The ML system is great. I've heard notes and instruments on songs that I never detected before on my previous Lexus Premium sound system. The only negative I have might be that it could use a little more punch in the bass. That's not to say the bass is weak, just want a little more for my taste.

You should go to a local dealer and test drive the older GW430s with ML and decide for yourself.

Good luck in your search.

yep, thats what i would do, go listen to one at the dealer. In the end, you can just add a sub to the ML system and then that could fix your probs, and not be as expensive

I bought my car at Manheim Pa dealers auction 3 yrs ago. 99 gs300 with 60k miles for $18,000 Look they want morre now than I got mine 3 yrs ago LOL http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...1235&x=99&y=12
I go to dealers auctions here and there to see whats going on, this is the deal, It is not a dealership so finding blk on blk with nav isnt going to be aesy at the same it isnt a Murcielago so I wouldnt say they are rare. Its like fishing at the dealers auctions, but you can catch a nice fish. My last 4 cars were bought either at manheim pa or bordentown new jersey. It is much cheaper than dealers lots which overcharge. I was at Bordentown NJ last week buying a maxima for my friends parents, didnt find one we liked so we are going to manheim this friday.
As far as price goes 2001 gs430 with low miles and all the goods can be picked up for anywhere $18-22k. So all these people talking about high 20s or even 30s are getting jerked bigtime. The only bad part about dealers auction is you dont really get a chance to drive the car, you can start it up rev it and thats it. I think you get 24hrs if ther car is dead to return it to the auction. I ve been lucky so far, my dealer got an eye of an eagle all my friends and most Russians where i live are buying cars at dealers auction and laugh at all these fools getting ripped at lots. Unless you are leasing this is the only way to purchase.
PS. Every other friday at Maheim is the exotic car auction, that is where you need to go, maybe thats why you did not see many gs because it was that off week.
LOOK at hese prices 2001 GS430 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...1235&x=100&y=4

Hey guy's, i just want to say thanks for all of your helpful replies and such a cool club/community. I am happy to say that i picked up a 2002 GS430 black exterior, tan interior with Nav/Mark Levinson with 41,900 miles. Got it for $25,999 out in Mclean VA. All taxes, tag, title and everything came up to $27900. I believe that i got a wonderful deal because the car came from Lexus financial, 1 owner, appears to be garaged. Brand new tires and the interior is just immaculate, it still smells new. How do you guy's think i did?
I definitely gotta post pics soon!

Good Job, I thought you'll may find one in our area. Have fun and if you see a Black Cherry Cherry GS430 around the DC area it's might be me.
