I wouldn't think that Lexus would offer a package that wouldn't be able to be aligned within spec. I think they would have legal isues with warranty. I think the L-Tuned suspension should be able to be aligned within spec, not just close enough. I am writing this while in my driveway is an L-Tuned GS430 with alignment completely out of whack, due to the incompetence of Merchant's Tire and Auto.

I think you should get a second opinion on the alignment, and try to find a performance shop to look at it. I did the Eibach springs and l-tuned shocks and had no issues with the alignment.

I put on the ltuned springs/shocks myself about a month ago and then took it to the dealer for alignment- the service advisor said that they could not get it back within specs but it was only slightly off- he also said that lexus has much tighter tolerances than other places- if I had gone to pep boys than they probably would have told me it was ok.

my car is lowered .75-1 inch. I had it aligned at dealer today and they got it to spec but said the camber was maxed out.

they also adjusted the auto leveling thing for headlights underneath car.

I don't care what they tell you. Even when your in spec the allignement will not hold for long.

I don't know why. My inner front wear like mad. Even thought the alligmenent says it alliggned to specs.

I have 18" rims and my tires are at 38PSI.

No camber kit realy sucks.

Thre is always talk on this board about the need or no need for one.

Either way your screwed. I just flip them from left to right when the inside is almost gone.
(mount the tires from left rim to right and right rim to left)

I don't think my front have more then 15K and I'm ready for a new set.

The rears look brand spanking new.

I'll show some pics later if I get a chance.

This has been a problem since lowering the car back in 2000.

Third sets of tires on the front , must be like my 6th alingment.

Rides nice though, Just wish it didn't eat the front tires.

I'm bumping this thread from 2 years ago. Because now my tires are trashed and I still don't know what to do. I keep getting contradicting opinions. The camber adjustment is maxed !!! We need camber kits !!!!!!

Some people keeping repeating the camber adjustment should be fine within "LEXUS tolerances" with L-tuned springs and struts but its obviously not or we wouldn't be repeating the same ***** over and over again.

Please read my post in your other thread. If you are within spec, you should not be eating tires like crazy. 1" drop all around is not enough to create such large camber problems. I am starting to believe parts of your suspension is worn out, or your toe spec is off.

GSteg is on the money... You could need bushings. I have a 2" drop with .25 degree neg. on my front (I was at 3 degrees ). No tire wear what so ever. You need to go to an alignment shop (These shops that use computer alignments are no good for lowered cars). I see your in plano. I know a guy that will solve your problems. He corrected my alignment when everyone else told me my neg camber couldnt be fixed. I just had him install Daizen bushings as well.

Here's his info..

Johnson Motor Sports Frame & Alignment Specialist
2241 Crown Rd

His name is Eddie.
Tell him Eric with the white gs sent you.
pm me if you have any questions.
