Let me ask you guys a question, you got your headlamps replaced under warranty right?? If you don't have warranty like I do, then your pretty much screwed?

My headlamps are dirty inside (turning a little grey) and I wanted to get it replaced but I need to find out if they will charge me an arm and a leg if I don't have warranty anymore

DIESELMAN63---I got both of mine replaced through warranty, but I know they probably pretty expensive from the dealership. I always see them on e-bay though, but I don't know if the 300 and the 400 use the same headlights due to the HID's---i'm not sure if it's a specific headlight that you would order with the HID's. Maybe you can check that up. Also, another suggestion is calling the company--Toyota/Lexus--that is. My roomate works for GM and deals with warranty issues. There have been many times that they have replaced parts for their customers way past the standard warranty---from headlights to engines. My roomates department basically calls the local dealership and tells them they need to replace it. Now I know, that you cannot compare a Lexus to a GM vehicle---you know you can't do that---but hey, it's worth a shot. What do you have to lose!!!!!

Hope that helps

Yes, they should replace it under warranty, I have heard of instances of this.

I also had the same problem. It is covered under warranty. If you don't change it out, you may find it more expensive to keep changing bulbs, since they will tend to "blow" more often due to the mosture. Have you ever tried to price out an HID bulb. Almost 100-140.00 each. Get it looked at and insist that the unit be changed. don't let them talk you into just resealing the unit. It will work ok initially but almost always fails the test of time. The HID set is about 800.00 each (when I looked at my invoice when it was changed) The guys here were so nice that they also changed the other side (which wasn't leaking) just to make sure that it matched. It wouldn't be so nice if one was clean and the other one was all scratched up.

good luck
