Question

How many miles do you have on your GS? I was thinking of buying a '98 GS400 Black/Tan with NAV for $25,000 but it has 82,000 miles on it.

That is a lot of miles. I got my 98 GS400 with 31,000 miles for $30,500. I got a very good deal. I would hold out on that 82,000 mile car. It's up to you though, but in my opinion, I would not spend $25,000 for a car with 82K miles.

Hope that helps!!!!

That's a lot. But $25 grand is not bad. I have a 2001 GS430 that's about 4 months old and I already have 10 thousand miles on it.

I don't think it's that bad, it depends on the options. Does it have the 17"s, nav, spoiler and HID? If so, not a bad deal. I bought my car 10 months ago with those options and 53K for low 30's. I now have 64K, and I was offered $32K for it.

My car rides as though it was new, so if it weren't for the odometer I would have no idea how many miles are on it.

80K+ miles is ALOT for a $25K used car, whether a Lexus or not. Have you ever purchased a high mileage used car before? If not, I know from my experience that you're in for some repairs. Belts need to be replaced, tires, certain electrical components go bad etc.... I say spend a little more and get the same car/year with say 30K miles....

Default 98 GS4

i have a 98 gs4 as well and it has 82k and change and i just recently added the swift intake, rmm exhaust, l-tune suspension and its running like a new car with the new addition and it was running like a charm without. the price is great i've seen that price range in the dallas market. i have a friend who works for an insurance agency that could run the vin# - i'll ask for a favor and hopefully he could look it up for you. if its good i would go for it.
