I am not sure what you guy are talking about, but does not matter if you are using Swift intake setup or Apexi setup, if you blow the motor, it's your fault. I don't think Apexi or Swift will pay your your engine.

***** happen, no performance shop will pay for these

look in your receipt of your when you buy the intake that guarranty you from blowing you engine? if not, then

and,
whitediamond, you don't have to set it everytime, your setting stay with your car, w or w/o battery, it still remember it (the S-AFC)

you CAN set them only if you want, like you are adding in new exhaust, port and polish your intake...., if you don't touch them, the SAFC stays where you set it.

Please do not confuse Weapon R's ECU chip with APEXI cause they are not using it. Of course you can use the APEXI but has nothing to do with what Weapon R is doing.

Hey Ray,

After my car, we are going to do the GS3/IS3/GS430.
Just wait alittle and also save up for the turbo kit.

Brent, he's telling me to save up for the turbo kit for MY GS300 yah basically the only benefit GS300 has over 400/430s. Steel block rules.

Yah I'm interested in seeing what Weapon R can come up with for GS300. From SRT's dyno I see something close to 12rwhp.

12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks 12rwhp 800 bucks......... hmmm....

Ray,

Just the Weapon R intake itself will give you at least 8HP. Just wait or get the intake for now.

I will agree that if the issue is as follows then the SRT hp #'s are coming up short of advertised:
-Should any stock GS regardless of baseline(stock) hp #'s yield a 22hp gain to the rear wheels as advertised???????? I dont know if this is what is being claimed by SRT though......
My thinking would be that if one car is stronger(236hp stock) than another(226hp stock) to begin with then the stronger car might also benefit MORE from the same mod.....(not the case here)
It sounds strange that regardless of the stock HP #'s, the Weapon-R test car ended up at the same 249hp that SRT advertises.......
Does this mean that a very weak GS(218 hp?) or an exceptionally strong GS(240hp?) will also somehow mysteriously end up at SAME 249rwhp???????????? The thing that needs clarification is WHY the SRT test car and the Weapon-R test car ended up at 249rwhp when starting from a 10rwhp difference...........Although I have no clue, I agree that two "different" Dyno techniques still does not explain this one.....

Here is what MO posted about Dyno techniques:

There are many ways to dyno a car, in an automatic it is especially difficult if you are unable to disable the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears and lock the TC, if you do not do so you will get inaccurate readings. If you look at our dyno curves they start down low at about 2000 RPM, that is because we disables the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears and made runs on 4th gear (a 1:1 ratio gear) and also locked the TC (torque converter) so we get precise readings of the HP and Tq. If anyone does not do so you will get different HP and TQ readings in other gears as well as the torque multiplication of the TC will skew the Tq readings of the dyno.

Yes I am back! And I want to see some dyno charts, done the PROPER way, not just a dyno chart, something that shows from 2KRPM in 4th gear (for newer '98+ cars)all the way to redline.

PS. I can easily show anyone figures of the GS400 or GS300 on a dyno running much higher numbers than shown in our charts with the SRT HFI alone just by running on 3rd gear and not locking the TC.

Don't hide how you truly feel . Anyway, I have the KN drop in filter by the way but don't know anything about the HP claims... where did you hear/read that you'll get 5 to 10 on it? Thanks.

If possible, I'd like to see the dyno. I don't think a fliter itself could produce 5-10 horsepower. Where did you acquire this piece of information?

just adding a filter cannot add 5-to10HP I think. Only if you add a complete intake is when you can get that kind of gain.
