Good point. I forgot to mention that too. Using regular will decrease your gas mileage so in the end, you're going to have to put in more fuel to get the same total driving range as premium. Add that up over the years and the cost will probably be the same for both ways, but at the expense of the engine not running up to its full potential.

trust me man i am in cali, and i have both gs400 and sc430. i never pay cheap on gas, it's worth it

plus even if i go down to 87, i risk the engine pinging, and i am just saving a mere 200 bucks a yr. maybe in your case you will save 500 bucks or so, but that's not worth it
