He wants to commit suicide due to the fact that he his 30k miles and everyone knows 30ks miles is where lexus falls apart. Having a mortgage, bills, etc, he can't afford maintainance on a lexus, therefore he's going to say goodbye to the world.

Hey, my `98 is at 208K+ miles and I don''t call her old. She's just getting into her prime years. I expect another 100k-140k before she's ready to retire (hopefully - that's when my kids will be out of college).

Chuck, mine is five years and seven days old.
Zero mods, in excellent condition mechanically. However, the body and bumpers are dying a slow death from city parking and the valets in my condo's garage.
