New pics of my GS400 / LX470...

Hey, I love how this thread turned into an Escalade debate!
A few months ago, I was visiting a friend in Florida who had previously signed us both up for a day of the Motor Trend Ride & Test / Cadillac challenge. I'm sure most of you know about this. Basically you get to drive a bunch of cars (i.e.; Lexus LS430, Mercedes S430, Lincoln Navigator, and Cadillac Escalade ('02 model)). I drove them all, and pushed them all to their limits.
While a test drive is no testament to any car's durability, I can honestly say that the new Escalade is one awesome truck. Its power is brutal for a big-*** truck too! There is no doubt in my mind that it is much faster than my LX470 in any straight-line performance. It looks good too (except for that huge Cadillac medallion on the back), and the interior is very well done.
BUT--> Make no mistake, it's still an American Car, and has all the cheap plastic bits and typical GM-feel to all the switchgear. An LX470 is by far a better appointed (and much classier )vehicle.
I also may be one of the few to attest to the LX470's prowess off-road. I have had my truck out in more than a few Northeastern snow-storms, and even found a bunch of empty lots with many ditches and jumps. This truck always bounced right back, and continues to do so. I have towed a boat, and a trailer with TWO cars, and this motor/tranny never strained a bit. I will be a Lexus truck owner forever....
