Yes, they will apply any finish you request. If you do a search you should be able to find instructions for DIY removal and install of the steering wheel. I know I've seen them before and there was nothing difficult about it. Just important to disconnect the battery during removal and install to avoid accidental deployment of the airbag. There was a group buy arranged about a year of two ago but the current price with discount for members is comparable to the GB price. Sounds like they now have a loaner wheel available to use while your wheel is being refurbished.

Yes they have a loaner wheel available to use while your wheel is being refurbished but they want a $1000.00 deposit for the wheel.

So they know they're getting their wheel back

Fixed it

so you laid out the extra g for deposit and they sent you the loaner wheel...and they refund you that cash once you give it back to them? how long did they take to send you their wheel after you dropped the g deposit on them

As per their website....

Simply remove your steering wheel, ship it to us, and we will ship it back to you like brand new within 4-5 business days in most cases.
Call one of our representatives with any questions at 888-403-3403.

I'm going to contact them tomorrow, since my car is going in the shop for a new paint job, if it only takes 4-5 days turnaround, then I won't need a loaner wheel. I just need to find a way to keep this from my girl finding out. LOL

I wouldn't qoute them on the 4-5 days thing, unless they've gotten a lot less busy than before when I sent my wheel they had for almost 3 weeks..Make sure you have a back up plan.
