Yes I e-mailed them a bunch of pictures. It wasn't that bad to take off. You also might want to send in the shifter so you have a perfect match

Hi Lexus Kid.....

Received my loaner yesterday from American Stitches. I was able to do the swap with no problems. Couldn't have done it without the help of this board.

They sent me a wheel with all the wires connected, but without the extra shift buttons, however, I was able to connect the horn, speed control and the air bag.

My only problem has been, trying to send them something to compare the color of the wood. Thought that taking off a wood panel off of a door would be the easiest, but was unable to do so, as I don't know where to put the pressure and in fear of breaking something. So, I took some pictures, but they came out too red. I then looked for a Internet picture I could print. I found one that is pretty close. As for sending them the shifter as a sample, mine is all leather.

Now the waiting begins......

Great idea, Lexus Kid !!

I'll throw it in the box. In the mean time, I'll switch the shifter from the GX to the GS, as the GS is the wife's main car.

I know this was mentioned b4, but were there any luck in getting another group buy together. If not, mine will be getting done as well the end of the month. Thanks for all the info needed to make this as smooth as possible.

That's the answer, the discount offered to each individual results in pretty much the same price break that was offered in the GB a couple years ago. Also, because of the loaner situation, there were a lot of logistical problems with administering the GB. So many people waiting in line as the loaner got passed around. Compared to the cost of a new wood/leather wheel from the dealer, the current discounted price being offered is a steal.

Hey Lexus Kid.....

Got a call from Angela at American Stitches to ask some questions.

She said the Steering Wheel and Shifter **** will be ready in about two weeks.

Just about the time I will be returning from Chile.
