Default Help/opinions on what t get are needed

OK I have one payment to go on my current car, and after i am free to sell it in favor of a GS400. Here are few things that are on my mind:

In NW (seattle) I am having very hard time finding a black on black GS4, what do you guys think of black on tan option? Replacing the interior later on is not an option, also, the car will be done in VIP style.

What are your thought on silver on black? It does not seem to be a good color for a VIP car, but it's a bit easier to find this color combination.

I think that's pretty much it as far as questions go, feel free to post some other advise you might give me.

I think the Ivory interior is very classy. That is the color I sought when I was looking.

Default Keep looking

Im in Seattle market too. I could have purchased a black on black GS400 1998 with 80,000 miles with HID and Navigation and 17 Inch rims for $16000. It was very clean and in excellent condition. That was 2 months ago.

Ended up with Black on Tan, and im not at unsatisfied with look of the tan interior.

I would just say to keep on looking if that is the combo that you are set on.

Good luck
b

When I was looking for my GS, I too wanted a blk on blk combo, but couldn't find one in the northwest, so I found a black on tan instead. I don't mind it too much. It looks good.
I like the silver and black combo too. Have you had trouble finding 400s or 430s? I found it a little tough. Good luck. What is your budget range?

There is a silver for sale within my price range, but i want to wait and see if I can get a black one. I don't want to go past 23K, and hoping to drop that down to ~20-21K. Also I want the car to be under 90K miles, and if it has a navi, that's a very big plus.

I saw that black on black in seattletimes a while back, buys like that come around once in a while. I might just go to Lexus of Seattle and tell them what i want and see if they can get it (my friend's friend works there).

It seems like these cars are more expensive in the NW.

Thanks for the input so far.

I think you should keep looking until you find the perfect blk/blk.
That's the only color i wanted from the begining. You don't want to have any regrets later.

Be patient and don't settle. Wait and find what you want, as other have posted you'll have no regrets later on. Perhaps you can expand your search area by a couple of hundred miles.

Yep, as soon as you settle for something less, the ideal car will come into the market and you'll regret it. Wait and get the one you want. It's out there with your name on it.

Thanks guys. My search area is between 300-500 miles depending on the website. I think in the meantime i should find out my approximate insurance rate and get preapproved for the loan.

I always went with black interior cars - but I found when looking for GS's that they looked better in tan, IMHO, than the black interior. I think the black shows wear too easily.

I will never own another black interior car again. Don't get me wrong, the black interior looks good - just not for me anymore.

i would keep looking as well. i have blue on tan, i wish i had black (regardless of exterior). easy to keep up and it looks very nice

i had black interior for my is300, like it a lot. and my sc430 is saddle interior, much better than the ivory, but still far from black imho

Well I got a first set of bad news...I got a quote from my insurance company, and my rates would go up by roughly $70 per month. Which is not too bad, but I also have tuition expenses every couple of months. So I have a lot of number crunching to do to make sure that i can afford the car and have some money left for mods and going out once in a while. I'll keep you all updated.

Yeah car insurance sucks, but don't give up.

Have you thought of maybe widening your search to include areas that you have friends in where gs's are selling for less. Then ask them to check the car out for you and have it shipped to you? It's a long shot but it might help you find that perfect blk/blk gs and possibly save you some money.

My opnion on color options is, I think tan on black i more of a sportier color where black on black is more VIP wich is what your going for. So my vote is wait for the black on black.

Good luck with your search.
