Could someone please clue me in on what the probe mounted on the vertical wall of the gas tank represents. Buzzing sound started a while ago. So far no fault symptoms have shown up.

are you talking about the Gas door? That black thing is the switch to open up the gas door.

If you're talking about the Gas tank... is the buzzing coming from under your rear seat on driver side? If so, thats the sound coming from the fuel pump. If it's stock and buzzing really loud, you might want to check your fuel pump.

Thx for the reply. With the trunk open, panels removed, looking at the actual gas tank there are 2 attachments. One is mounted on the very top, the other, below, on the vertical face of the Tank with 2 electrical leads. That's where the buzz comes from.
