Anyone have input on this brand? Quality, good/no-good...They are a German company, but they seem to have knock-off styles, see here:

Thanks for any info.

AB-Es: nothing but cheesy knock-offs...the back of wheels say "designed in germany".....sure, the original wheels such as hamman, amgs were designed and made in europe.
AB-Es even has a model that copies Auto-cuture Supreme of japan. there are many 5ers here in LA actually have the m5 look-alike wheels form AB-Es. the reason: CHEAP price. for ~$2k, you get both rims and tyres in 18s.
quality:uncertain they are neither made in europe nor japan. save your money and get something else.

I live in europe and I've never heard of them. Clearly they are knock-off's.
The made in Germany doesn't mean it's a good quality wheel. If you buy European (German) wheels be sure to check if the rim is TUV approved.
The TUV organization is an organization that checks products. They are very strict and check most aftermarket products that are for sale in germany. If it's TUV approved it's a quality product.
If it isn't TUV approved I wouldn't want it on my car, because it can be an weak or inferior rim (product).
Last but not least.
A quality car (Lexus) needs a quality rim.
Hope this helps.

eric,
dronell wheels are quality ones. it is just that many here would like to see them derive their own design concept instead of merely copy someone elses' design. for the price, though quality built, i would rather go for some other brands. or, if you truly like some of the dronnells, you can also take a look at the original design wheels that dronnell copied from.

Good info. My problem is I like certain little things about lots of wheels, but haven't found the 'perfect' wheel for me yet. Actually, I like the factory 17's, if they just made them in 18 with a little more of a lip. Kinda like the Dronell M05's... I guess I lean towards the style of 'just enough to let you notice something is different, but not too much to really stand out' Make sense?
Oh well, enough rambling...
