Congrats on the new ride, you should be proud!
Again, another person w/ the blk/blk color combo - the best in my opinion.
Just curious, what kind of price did you get on the vehicle? Also, how was the availability of vehicles w/ the color and options you sought?

Yeah, I really do love the blk/blk combo.
If I didn't know the dealer, the cost of the car should have been around $46,000 (I priced it with my options on carpoint) However the deal we received was a little under $40,000. So we got the car for about $6,000 dollars less. For the 36 month lease, we put about $2,500 dollars down, and the monthly payments are $600 dollars (not including tax).
I saw many GS models available when I was at the dealership though. There was at least 3 other black/black models. The options I have on my car are a spoiler, premium package, gold emblems, and chrome wheels. The car already had the premium package, but it didn't have anything else. However, within 24 hours, the three other options were on the car. All the cars at the dealership had different options, but they could pretty much add anything you want, and you can pick it up the next day.

I live in Los Angeles, is that bad for the gold trim?
Also, are they easy to replace? I figured if I replace them yearly, it'll keep them looking new, and therefore, keep my car looking good. Is that a good idea?
I know a lot of people dislike the gold with black, but I like the gold on the chrome wheels more, and I also like the gold on the grill. The gold on the back looks good as well, however I know it looks extremely well right now, because of it being new. I would have gone silver, but the dealer put the gold on for free, and I guess it does make my car look more original.

hmm
hey congrats on your new ride. i'm getting a blk/blk too and it'll be worth the wait (2002 model for 2001 quoted price). Anyway did you say you got a spoiler on a gs300 from the dealer? I didn't know that was an option. is that a special deal? hehe

Mr Flow -- welcome aboard.... I've had my gs for 6 months now, and am enjoying it as much as the day I picked it up.
Sounds like you got a pretty decent deal, considering the price includes chrome, spoiler, and gold package. Black on black was my original choice, but given my car is outside 24/7, I figured Silver was my best bet.
Lexus 808 -- most dealerships will add a spoiler to the GS300 (put also leave the brake light on in the rear window) for anywhere from $300 - $700.
