My guess is your wet tires/road didn't have any friction on the roadway. If your tires don't have traction (friction) then VSC can't help you at all. For that you need the VSC that includes the Space Shuttle thrusters as an option

It could've also been aggravated because the brakes were still grabby and the VSC kicked in and maybe it locked up a wheel by accident. I don't know about you guys, but when I first hit the brakes after a car wash it's like they are very sensitive.
