It's Finally Here!!
The Junction Produce rear spoiler that I bought from Carson Toyota during the group buy last fall finally arrived. I got a couple estimates on having it painted today and left it at the bodyshop reccommended by the local Lexus dealer. I spent some time sanding it myself last night as there were some overlaps at the seams. Its got to be perfect as black will show every defect or irregularity, even if its just the size of a pinhole. For those of you who have already mounted one of these, did you use the adhesive provided by JP? How quickly does it set-up? If any runs or oozes out from between the spoiler and the sheet metal, what did you use to clean it up? Is there a solvent that will take off the adhesive that will not damage the paint? I will post pics as soon as the job is through.

I remember back when getting anything JP was WOW now its wow, great pick up. Glad we have trustworthy people now who can bring this type of product from over sees to us.

Adheasive
I've never had a problem when using the 3m double sided tape. As long as the surface is properly prepped, it will stick like a champ.
However, if you really want to use an adhevise then what i have done is to place the spoiler on the car exactly where you want it, then get some blue painters tape and tape around the perimeter of the spoiler (on the trunk lid). The trick is to get the tape to lay about 1/16 under the spoiler. This will also act as a guide line when final installing. Apply whatever glue type substance you've select to the underside of the spoiler, then put it on the car. Then let it sit for a little while until the adhesive begins to tack up (But not hard...it needs to be soft). Then while it's still soft, pull up the blue tape slowly and it will typically have any smashed out adhesive.
It's always worked for me great, but make sure everything is properly prepped and you will end up with a CLEAN job.
Enjoy,
Kyle
