Chrome ring for Transmission shifter..

I am having trouble getting that chrome ring that goes around the transmission shifter plate that comes on the new GS. The dealers keep telling me that I have to order the shifter plate as well. I remember a few members that said they were able to order that part alone. I remember it was only about $20 too!

However Lexus sucks when it comes to getting replacement OEM parts. Driver side AC-vent cover broke on mine, I have to buy the WHOLE driverside A/C vent unit for 150 bucks. RIPOFF.

Hey Guys,
It's called the "PRNDL" Plate ring I got mine when the GS430 was introduced. You can order at Longo Lexus Parts Department and ask for John Atwood and tell him Dr. Chang sent yeah. I paided around 20-25 bucks.

got mine for free. but u will have problems making it fit. unless you have a 2k1. which would already have it. one side will fit snug but the other will not fit into place. so u will have to rig it like i did. i used some 3m adhesive gel and it worked like a charm. hope this helps.

one side will snap in, but the other side will just rattle. so u have to glue the other side down. i'm not familiar with uploading pics, so i can email u a pic. what is your email address. or u can email me and ill reply back. thanks

I called Longo Lexus today. The parts guy told me that he cannot get me the chrome ring alone. I have to spend atleast $130 for the entire part with the shifter plate.
So,,, where can I get just the chrome part

Longo Lexus gave that other guy the part for around $25....I guess just mention him, tell him you want the exact same part he got, and that's it!
Maybe that guy who got the chrome ring should call Longo himself to help you set up the buy

Has anyone looked at www.copartfinder.com they usually have several totaled Lexus and they give them to you according to the distance they are from you. They always have GS400 on there. Check it out.

IT"S TRUE the poart # 58843-30120 is the # of the chrome ring and cost is $17 .Ordered it from Lexus of Manhatten it came in today and confirmed as the chrome piece,The part # did not show up in the catalogue but he ordered it anyway and it came back chrome,So DIESELMAN/JOHNNYMO(or any other) if you want it give Walter a call @ 212-977-4400/parts,let him know the same piece clive got,part # 58843-30120 .
