By the way for the DIY guys out there do you have any recommendations on brands
and types of fliuds to use for the diff and tranny??

Oil is already synthetic

When Lexus does a trans job, all they do is drain and fill. They use Toyota IV trans fluid(around 4 qts)

Actually no, the drain and refill is only like 2.5quarts ish or so. You're supposed to do it every 15-20k miles. My experience is that the amsoil stuff holds up MUCH MUCH better. I was running the Toyota T-IV fluid for the period my car was stock. The transmission would slip at times and my car only had about 15k miles on it. I did a 2.5qt drain and refill at 15k and it held me over till about 20k and started slipping again. That was about the time I boosted my car so I did a more extensive drain refill which pulled out about 6-7quarts of fluid. I still used the Toyota T-IV and the transmission started slipping really really bad after about 3-4k of boosted miles. That was the point where I got fed up with the Toyota fluid and decided to give the amsoil ATF a try. So far after 3-4k miles it's still holding strong like new fluid

I don't think anyone here drives their car as hard as me so changing fluid this often might not apply to you

Did you do a full flush when you switched out? or just drain and fill repeatedly until it was all replaced?
