Default BRRRRR Cold, AK Style

Here's a pic of the temperature today as I was doing the old commute to work this morning. I must say the GS was very comfortable inside, most of the other drivers had frosted up windows while all of mine were crystal clear. Gotta love that comfort. If the pic is too small, it was -12 F.

HAHAHA, i knwo the feeling, lived there all my life. Anchorage right? I lived off of E. 6th, near costco, and the Anchorage School Distrcit Administration Building. nearest major cross street was Debarr and Boniface, behind Russian Jack Springs Park on the east side

I miss it very much, Ft Drum is too damned warm...but so is Dallas/Fort Worth Texas (which is where i moved to from Anchorage).

I see you listen to 101.3 KGOT. good station!

Wow. I don't think I've seen the minus sign on mine yet (I've been close a few times here in Chicago). Oh, and by the way, nice (and rare) option there -- Mark Levinson without nav.

I was on my way to Anchorage, I'm out in Wasilla. As you know, it does get a lot colder but this is the coldest it's been locally this winter. Hope it warms up soon, I've got mods to put on!!

Rare? Really..., I didn't have clue, figured it was just the way most came unless you ordered the Nav. Besides the exterior color, I guess i have another unique feature!! Thanks for the info.

really? we have had a mild winter too...never dipped below about -5. I was told Ft Drum was colder than Alaska.

but having lived in both places, i aint seein it.

i remember, january 3rd, 1998...i woke up to deliver my papers...

and the headline was "-72 degrees!"

i still have the paper but no scanner...it was COLD that morning. i didnt even deliver the papers till the sun came up LOL.

Yep. Most 430s came with the bundled option of Nav and ML or neither (in which case the car had the Pioneer/Lexus Premium Stereo). In 2001 and in 2002, you could special order ML without navigation, however, I believe that starting in 2003, that was no longer a possibility. And, your color is also pretty rare (although I see quite a few of them around here).

I couldnt survive at -12. Here in FL most people are bundled up if it gets below 70
