Bitkahuna mentioned that I may want to post this in the forum. I have a 98 GS4 that has the cracking type noise coming from the sunroof area. Does anyone know if there is a TSB for this problem, and my guess was it may have been for the earlier model GS such as 98-99. Thanks ahead of time for any responses.

I have a 2000 GS and I get that noise sometimes...I don't get it all the time so I can't really pin point it.

When I bought my car with 53K miles it was silent, but nearing 60K miles it got very loud, and very annoying. I had my local dealer to the TSB with the felt trick, but to no avail. The 3rd time in they totally replaced the sunroof and all of it's components. Now it is dead silent. Someone said a while back that this is a common problem on the '98s. Good luck, and just keep pushing your dealer to fix it.

PARK PLACE !!!!! I have no affiliation with this dealership, but I must say the service is tremendous. I just brought the car in right after I posted that note regarding the sunroof for a oil change. I metioned the noise to my service rep and she was not familar with it. I then watched who she spoke to and he told her about the felt trick. Hopefully that will resolve the problem and I can move on. I also mentioned to this same guy then (go to the source who knows the answers) about a rattle by the guage cluster and he asked how many miles, year, etc. He said that they would fix that also, which blew my mind. I seriously doubt any other type of dealerships would say so readily that they would fix the problem on a 3yr old vehicle (except it is low miles 35k) I will drop it off next week and see how they do.
