After Alignment, Still Getting Vibration At 55+ MPH?

Hey DIESELMAN63 - Lean on them. What year do you have? According to the TSB, it is on the 98s. No mention on the 97s or laters. Doesn't talk about a campaign but says that production countermeasures were implemented to reduce steering vibration/flutter. If they made the steering too sensitive, it sounds like they put something in there to increase the inherent steering load to fight the vibrations (doubt it was one of those ancient hydraulic gizmos). Interesting on the 99s that they talk about a service bulletin regarding tire balancing. If you have a 98, I would hope Lexus will put the mod on.

DIESELMAN63 - Couldn't be happier. With a TSB out I hope that Lexus will find it in their heart to put the fix in for you. Let us know how it goes.
lydon - You should consider cruising over to the above referenced NHTSA site and look at the TSBs. It is hard to tell from a lot of the TSBs but there are several for steering issues and at least one in the 99s for balancing issues.
It might be a double edge sword because the only non balance fixes I have seen involve making the steering harder to move, either increasing friction or hydraulically damping but the wobbles are annoying and you know it is tough on bushings and tires. Wish BMW would have addressed the issue but then they might have lost that steering that the magazines love to mark them up for when they have the car for a week. OK, sorry about that, just couldn't resist.
