So my friend just updated his navi version from version 1to the latest one and now his navi is in all japanese. He got his GS from canada so I am not sure what settings and stuff are factory. Someone want to tell me how to fix it? I am pretty sure when you update the navi all settings go back to default so maybe his default language is japanese.

You probably could take some language classes. Although, you probably won't have Toyko Blvd. (or something) in Fl.

U have one with navi too right? Just go through your Menus with his car side by side. And try to navigate your way to the language setting.

did you see the error message its bad, and I dont have a GS I got a SC. Ohh and by the way he tried to put his version 1 disc back in and it doesnt work LOL. So version 5 doesnt work and version 1 doesnt. he is screwed.

you have 02 sc430 right? i think the system would be pretty similar to the one on the gs?

wow, that is messed up. If he is still getting that screen after putting the original navi map in, then it's time to head to lexus and see what they say.

it's a DVD drive right? maybe the drive is bad therefore unable to read the DVD

This is purely due to the fact that your friend put in a backup disc which did not burn correctly and now serious damage has done to the system .
