How Much Should I Pay For a 2001 GS430
#31
I bought my GS-430 in March of last year. As far as I can tell, I have one of the only ones with a Cinnabar / Black color combo. One thing about a black interior, it does not show wear anything like just about any other color.

How much you should pay for a 01 GS430 really depends on mileage, options, condition, private party/dealership, and somewhat what part of the country your getting it. KBB is somewhat helpful but they are usaully pretty high with many of their values.
I would say between 20K-25K is around what you should be paying. Around $20,000-21 for higher mileage 65K+ with no NAV/ML private party. Around 22-23 for under 65K miles. Around 24K for under 55K miles. Fully loaded Nav/ML under 55K miles I would say around 24.5-25. If buying from dealers most will try to charge alot for a car with under 55K with NAV/ML like 27K+so it is probrably best to go for a private sale. In California, Florida, and in many places in the South you are probrably going to pay more then say a car from the east coast where you can get pretty good deals if you look hard enough.
Good Luck and make sure you test all power door locks because door lock actuator failures are common defects on the GS and they are extremely expensive to fix. Test for rough low idle by shutting off the AC and lights and stop after driving for a while and feel if the car is shaking and idling at correct RPM. Make sure car starts up with no problems either and starter does not feel strained or hesitant as that is a very difficult and expensive issue to fix. Look over and have a mechanic look over and inspect the car before even considering the purchase. Remember to at least run a carfax report to check for salvage, title, when brought to Lexus dealership for service ,etc.
If you want a better estimate on what to pay list the particular car you are looking at with the exact mileage, options, where you are getting it at, condition, year, etc and we can give you a better estimate on what you should pay.
