Micheilin Pilot Sports are probably one of the best tires out there, they are actually expensive. I heard they are really good but most people don't get them cause there are comparable tires at a lower price. Like the Toyo's T1-S or Yokohama AVS Sports and so forth.

Another alternative to the Michelin Pilot Sport is the Pilot XGT/Z4. Much better than the 030s (a bagel is better than an 030) and less than the Pilot sports. About $180 ea.

Thumbs up Good but Expensive

Andrew - The Pilot Sport is an excellent but expensive tire. It's biggest drawback besides price is it tends to have a noisy tread pattern. Marty's got a good idea - I myself swapped out my Sports for the XGT/Z4's & didn't feel like I lost much in either wet or dry traction plus I saved some money! The new Pole Positions seem to drawing raves from many of the other members around here - might look into those as well.

I had pilot sport on my stock 17" wheels they are excellent tires. I had about 7000 miles on it still looks new when I took them off, well worth the price. Now I have AVS sport on my 19" they are very sticky but it worn out really fast, I had them for only 3 months front tires already worn out a bit.
