Default In a bit of a pickle

I'm getting a new car! Ideally, I'd like to keep my GS but i'm not sure yet. It runs great but the milage is getting up there 122,xxx! I know the Lexus is a reliable brand and I have had no real issues with my GS. Let me just say that we wouldn't be having this conversation if it was a 400/430! Basically it comes down to either ditching the GS and getting something else. Or keeping the GS and ditching my fiancee's 2002 Hyundai elantra (beater, but kick **** in the snow...lol) Then my next problem is what to buy as a second car. I really like the X5 4.4i, the E500, the Sc430. Any ideas? Anyone own these cars?

Hey Josh, thanks again for that harness...

Yeah, I really like the SC430 too. But I can get an E500 for between 28 - 30K. It's got 22k on it but no nav, no HID's and needs minor body work. Otherwise the car is beautiful.

Keep the G, upgrade the hyundia to a better car. Keep the new wife happy and u will b happy. The mileage means nothing on the 300, that inline 6 will damn near outlast anything on the road right now.

i feel your pain. didnt wanna get rid of the GS but needed a new car. i got the E55 and kept the GS. i love the E but have a soft spot in my heart for the GS. i guess if i had to do it over again id probably do the same thing.

my vote goes to getting the E

Yeah that E55 is a beast. I can get a great deal on a 2003 E500 but does that mean I should buy it. Yeah it's fast and a great looking car..but so is my GS!

I found a 2000 Porsche 911 that I think I can get for about 30-31k The porsche to me is as timeless as the 2nd generation GS. Not to mention it's super fast. LOL. Any thoughts on the porsche?

I wouldn't be so quick to call it a truck despite its size. Rides far more like a car than any of the other truck-based SUVs. Smooth quiet good handling response, fairly tight turning radius. Not harsh or noisy at all. In short, it drives and rides like a Lexus.
