I got a rattle in my roof and up around my windshield. One sounds pretty high pitched and light like some plastic and the other is more creaky and heavy up towards the windshield. Any ideas?

Do you have the moonroof tilted open? I get the same sound when my moonroof is tilted open. It's coming from the moonroof shade.

ya, its the moon roof shade. Just close it tightly and the rattle should go away.

my sunroof shade only rattles when it is shut all the way. if I crack it an eight of an inch it stops.

hmm....i caught this post this morning on my way to work, and thought to look at my windshield on the lower drivers side (as I appear to occassionally have that high pitch rattle mentioned by youngp08)...and mine says "Toyota". Should I assume that my windshield had been replaced at some point in time before I owner her?

Lexus did not start stamping "Lexus" on the glass until the 2000 model year. "Toyota" was the brand stamped on before 2000

ok one of my rattles is the sunroof and im gonna go fix that, the other one i get when I hit the front passenger side dash above the glove compartment. any ideas?
