awsome diy like everyone said
just did it today, took like 5mins. Man my filter was full of sh#t, no wonder i wasnt feeling the air blowing strong out the vents....i just used a vacuum to suck all the stuff out and i put it back in, i think i'll just get the oem one later....

Great pictures and write up. I see this AFTER I bought a filter from the dealership....lol. I think by the time I buy a good quality home filter and do the job of retrofitting, I would just rather spend the 20-30 bucks for the OEM one. Depending on how dirty this filter gets, if I need to spend that amount of money every 2 or 3 years for a filter that filters the air I breathe while driving, its no big deal.

Its good to know there is a DIY option though. Props to the original poster for the thread.

i got one from Advance C35518 its Charcoal filter and it looks like a filter . the one i had in was cheap China made filter . now the arrow on the filter indicated air flow right ? im little confused with that one . This filter is worth $22 and it fits tight on to the bracket.
