what color should i paint my calipers?

white car = red
silver car = black
black car = black/red
blue car = black/silver
green car = red (christmas woohoo!!!)
these are the color combo's i would do imho and does not reflect the views of other members on the board. except for a green car, i would do it black =P

Oh..you got jokes huh?! hahaha! It's all good fun
On white, I'd go red also...just makes it stand out more (unless you were going for a more subtle approach, then id say black or silver).

Red on black will pop nicely.
However,
I would stay understated if they are OEM calipers, especially if they are not BBK level. I would be OK with the 06 GS430 4-piston calipers going red but not the 2GS 2-piston variety. In this case, black would be my choice. Silver would be OK too but it would be even less noticed (but still nice) than the darker OEM "color".

I have black with white decals on stock calipers, with Diamond White Pearl car. Looks great with aftermarket wheels. Doesn't scream "I have stock calipers!".
Here's a hint: Get the BEST quality caliper paint you can find. You don't want to have to do it over if it chips off. I used Plastikote Brake Caliper Paint, seemed to work great, but is starting to chip. I clearcoated over them, and with the stickers, it's gonna be a biotch to touch up properly.

did you swap the stock rotors for cross drilled and slotted, zinc plated? that makes the whole brake assembly stand out even more. i did my replaced my rotors for $250.00 and $100.00 labor. i sold my old ones on ebay for $100.00. my net cost was $250.00 and it looks like the **** !!!!
