Yep, that's me, Mr. Mod. Last week it was a DIY cabin air filter, this week new shocks and strut tops, who knows what's on tap for next week. Maybe I'll bolt on a blower.

Thanks a lot Jake. There's definitely no rubber on the front strut assemblies. They are basically a solid piece of metal. Just to be sure, I just went out to the garage and took everything out of the big box and opened up the individual boxes. Other than a nut in a plastic bag, the only thing in each box is the shock itself. Actually, I'm kind of surprised that Toyota doesn't box these things a little more securely. It looks like one of the front shocks ripped up one of the boxes pretty badly. I think the shock is fine, but it's still a little disconcerting.

Well , i've looked at my strut tops closely and they looks lil deformed (slightly bent), i don't know about your, anyway get Brand new rubber piece....for sure
