Default Clearing headlights?

I tried to do a search but couldn't find anything. Has anyone done this? Basically just painted the chrome part in the headlights (black or match the color of the car) that is not needed to reflect the HIDs?

Hey thanks, but I can't find anything about the headlights. I only see "clearing taillights" and side markers...

Quite a number of people who retrofittted projectors into the headlights painted the chrome black. I think Cannonbear had his done without projectors. I am not sure how this relates to clearing headlights.

When I had the Acura, we called painting the chrome part a different coller "clearing headlights"

So only people with projectors have done this? I wouldn't wanna paint the part that reflects the HIDs, just the chrome part that doesn't reflect the light.

LOL. If you call it that, then OK. It doesn't make sense to me though.

In any case, to do that, you have to open up the housing and most only do that when they want to clean the inside or retrofit projectors into them.

I thought it was weird too. Are the housing parts held together with sylicone or screws? I hated sticking my Acura headlights in the oven in order to heat up the sylicone and paint the housings.
