Almost a GS 400 owner Help!!!!
I am looking at a 99 black/black GS400 with 105000 miles. It was a CPO vehicle and the owner has had all services done at the Lexus dealership including the 90000. He has new Yokama tires on and the car is super clean. You could eat off of the interior!!! He was asking16900 and is down to 15900. I can only pay 15000. If he takes this is this a good deal or should I continue to wait .(9 months) I wanted to pay about 13500 for one but this one is special! Help Please!!

I've always found edmunds to be pretty accurate.

according to them-it's worth about $13k private party

I have just spoken to the owner and he is stuck on 15500 and will not budge. I have looked on Edmunds and the True Market Value is 14200. He has upgraded the talepipes, has a little larger tires that are new. He has the black Lexus embloms. I just dont want to pay too much and I have one nice car 2003 Pathfinder boght new ,94 Accord that my wife has had since college with 174000 miles and it still runs good. I want the car but I feel like I might could get a better deal or just get a 430 next year..

Kelly lists it at 17,800 for retail in excellent condition. The tailpipes etc add no value in my opinion.
NADA lists it at around 18K retail and lists the trade in at 15K.
NADA is the one that most dealerships use to set the price.
If they did buy it at 15K then he wants to make a little something on the deal
Not sure how you are getting the 14K number

Great car but i think he is being too stern with the price. In my opinion the car has too much mileage for him to be stuck on one set price, and two, it's way above blue book value. I would shop around cuz i can bet there is the same car out there with fewer miles and at a better price. I took my time when shopping for my GS and i found the best deal in America at the time. Tell him that you don't have enough money , and you are considering going to a dealer and just making monthly payments( which you aren't ) and I bet he will reconsider. PLAY HARDBALL TOO!!! Good luck anyway

Way too much
I just sold my 98 GS400, 86K, everything except Nav, scratched up rear bumper and a small paint chip on the left front fender for $13,200. I think I should have advertised it here. I could have gotten more.
Oh well.
Cars are not selling right now. It is a buyers market. Wait the guy out. He'll drop the price.
My2 cents.
